Yes. When we say a product is fragrance-free, we mean it’s free from both artificial and added natural fragrances, which are common triggers for irritation (especially in sensitive skin). But we don’t stop there. We formulate with soothing ingredients like colloidal oatmeal, allantoin, and shea butter, and we rigorously test for safety on sensitive skin types.

At First Aid Beauty, we clearly label all our fragrance-free skincare products for sensitive skin on the packaging and product pages. If it says “fragrance-free,” you can trust it’s free of synthetic fragrance, essential oils, and masking agents that are often used to cover up ingredient odors.

Sometimes, yes. Even when a fragrance free skincare product doesn’t contain any added fragrance, you might still notice a faint scent. That’s just the natural smell of the ingredients. So, fragrance-free doesn’t always mean odorless, but any scent you detect is simply the natural profile of the formula (and never from added fragrance).

We aim for both. We avoid known irritants like fragrance, alcohol, and harsh surfactants. We also include soothing ingredients and skin-strengtheners to help support the skin barrier, which plays a big role in reducing reactivity over time.

Our products are tested to be non-irritating and they’re formulated to minimize the risk of allergic reactions. That said, everyone’s skin is unique - and even hypoallergenic products can cause a reaction in rare cases. So if you’re trying something new, patch test, go slow and listen to your skin.
